Cleaning a shisha
After every use
- Change the water: the base is emptied and rinsed with clear water.
- Empty the head: remove tobacco residue as soon as the head has cooled down.
- Ash and charcoal should only be disposed of once they have cooled down completely.
Regularly
- Stem: rinse through with a long brush and warm water. Stainless steel tolerates this well.
- Base: clean with warm water and a bottle brush. Avoid temperature shocks with glass, i.e. do not put it hot into cold water.
- Hose: rinse washable hoses and let them dry completely. For hoses made of leather or with a wire spiral, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Seals: check for cracks and replace if necessary so that the shisha stays airtight.
Cleaning agents
Clear, warm water is usually enough. Anyone using cleaning agents should rinse thoroughly afterwards so that no residues remain. Abrasive cleaners can damage glass and coatings.
Electric heads
With electric heads, the battery is removed before cleaning. Ceramic chambers and screens are rinsed out after cooling down. Electronics and battery must not get wet.
